Jayme Reis also translates into a poet of letters, as we can feel in the writings presented in his testimony of life and art. In his text he presents his trajectory and the possibilities encountered throughout his artistic training, which took place in his daily life, characteristic of a self-taught artist. A restless author, but every day in a better position to occupy and tell the world his language, his art of making and transcreating the language of everyday life. The artist collects fragments of wood, waste from nets, naval scrap and other objects abandoned by fishermen, and uses them to build his pieces.
