Born in Goiânia, GO, in 1980
Rodrigo Godá is considered one of the greatest talents of contemporary Latin American painting. He composes works in which animals and plants coexist with complex machines (“inventions”) built by imagination. The elaborate arabesques, formed by this union, denote the joyful reappropriation of a childish and creative look at the complexity of the world around us.
The artist has emerged as one of the great talents of the new generation of artists who have already crossed the borders of his state and today have national expression. An artist of great freedom and great resources of imagination, his paintings and drawings contain a rich repertoire of symbols and information that are surprising in a self-taught artist.
