Moacyr Travaglia
Moacyr Travaglia, 1978, lives and works in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim – ES. He started early in the visual arts at the age of 12, and through daily and resilient practice he cultivated an intimate and dynamic poetics.
The artist presents works that materialize bringing colors, shapes and movements, and that in gestural spontaneity modulates conscious and unconscious movements aiming to portray rationality and human incoherence in the daily life of his experience, in the search to enhance self-knowledge in his viewers. Through the colors created especially for each work, it expresses the individuality of each Being in the scenario of life. With this motivation, it uses the repetition of shapes and figurative languages that, when superimposed, translate into colors and movement the recurring present and past of each individual.
The first solo exhibition was held at the Correios cultural space, in the city of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espirito Santo, Brazil in 1994. Soon after, he exhibited at the Cenciarte cultural space – Bernadino Monteiro – 1998 and 2001, Salão Levino Fanzeres – 2003, Salão Belas Artes – 2003, Espaço Cultural Faculdade de Direito CI – 2007, Espaço Cultural FACACI – 2010, collective – Museu Nacional Honestino Guimarães, Brasília – DF – 2021 and Artefacto Brasilia-DF 2022, among other collective exhibitions.
